Aragog -Dolomedes Tenebrosus (Brownish Grey Fishing Spider) The dog found this spider walking through the house. She has a leg span of nearly 4". She is a "Dolomedes tenebrosus", the largest  fishing spider in North America. I have read they make great pets, so she is in a terrarium in the basement now, so we'll see whether or not she can catch fish. She is missing one leg on each side (probably from the dog), hopefully she will survive to her next molt so we can see if she does regenerate them.  Christopher has named her Aragog

No luck in the fish catching department, She has made no attempts to catch any and just ignores them completely.

Unfortunately Aragog's egg sac did not hatch and she died soon after making the sac. She lived in the aquarium for about a 45 days.
